Hi all you Rock n Rollers

Just an update on news from Begbrook Rock n Roll Club. 

On 3rd April we had our dance with the Rhythm Aces which was a roaring success.  The popularity of this band was such that we found ourselves with an overcrowded evening, therefore, in the future, we will be limiting the capacity to 140.  If you are wishing to attend any dances in the future, we would urge you to reserve tickets which will guarantee you both seat and entry.

On Thursday the 15th April we were lucky enough to be entertained by the fabulous Mark Keeley's Good Rockin Tonight.  This again was a really well attended dance for a Thursday night and a roaring success.

Our recent weekend in Torquay on the Bank Holiday in May was enjoyed by all who attended with two new bands, the 59 Ford and The Debonaires, with all our supporters agreeing what fine bands they were.  Needless to say, we have already booked them for future dances in 2011.

Onto our dance at the club on the 8th May.  We were pleasantly surprised at the attendance for this dance as there were two other local dances on the same night.  The performance from Mike Byrne and the Sunrockers from Liverpool was absolutely fantastic.  Mike's voice and personality together with the tightness and sound of the Sunrockers was second to none and can only be classed as very professional.  Comments from the audience were extremely favourable and left them wanting for more.  We will of course be booking them again in the near future.
