ROCK - A - HOLICS BRISTOL.
Overview
In 2002, Dudley and Meralyn
organised their first weekend in Portland. After a few teething problems, it soon became a hugely successful event.
In 2002 not many promoters organised Rock n Roll hotel weekends because of the costs associated. Our aim has always
been to book good bands, have first class accommodation, with friends mainly from the Bristol area at a cost they can afford.
It has now since been followed by many other clubs and we are proud to be one of the first Rock n
Roll groups to pioneer this sort of weekend.

This weekend is organised
by Rock-a-Holics, who are in association with Begbrook Rock n Roll Club. The weekend is held at the end of January every
year at the 3 star Heights Hotel, Portland.
The organisers for this event are Dudley and Meralyn.
For the 2012 weekend which will be our 10th year, and of course our
anniversary weekend, we have the fantastic boogie woogie band, Joey and the Jivers playing on the Friday
evening. This band who we have had for the last four years and have proved so popular, we have brought
them back again after there fabulous performance last year.
On Saturday evening, we have booked The King
Cats. This will be the second time they have performed for us at this event, and as ever will no doubt go down a storm. We
hope therefore, you will enjoy the bands we have booked for our Rock-a Holics weekend.
The Portland weekend has
now only few places left so if you are interested, please get in touch ASAP. Once we have sold
all the rooms we will have a reserved list which we can enter you on, and should there be any cancellations, we will
of course be in touch so you can enjoy this Rock n Roll weekend.
