Background history to Begbrook - Bristol
- Rock n Roll Club
The
club was founded on the 4th September 2003 by Dudley and Brenda who had previously helped run rock n roll clubs at Parkway
Tavern, BAWA Filton and Frys, Keynsham.
When Begbrook Social Club venue became available, the chance to
run their own Rock n Roll Club was too good an opportunity to miss, and so started Begbrook Rock n Roll Club. Since
the formation, the club has tried to create a really friendly club and now has become one of the top rock n roll venues in
Bristol.
The club offers weekly dance lessons running into a social evening on Thursdays plus monthly dances. The
monthly dances consist of popular bands already well established plus we are always willing to give a chance to new bands
to perform. Within this format, the club has gone from strength to strength and now have a devoted following, many
of whom have become firm friends.
